Sustainability Coaching: Making a Difference in the World
Presenters:Mete Yazici, PCC, CPCC, ICF Mentor Coach, Founder of Commoncolors LLC.
The year 2020 was a turning point for many companies, countries, and the planet. It also marked the 50th anniversary of the Earth Day celebrations. In Japan, many companies increased their efforts to contribute to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
As someone active in driving social changes since 2005, seasoned leadership coach and business leader Mete Yazici is committed to inviting his fellow coaches to find their place in driving Sustainability. Mete believes that although coaches don’t dictate clients’ agendas, coaches can invite clients to explore the difference they want to make in the world. Sustainability can be achieved in multiple dimensions, and no effort is small.
In this interactive workshop, Mete will remind us of the dimensions of Sustainability and discuss what coaches can do. As you explore the depth of the ways to make a difference, you will see that there are many doors to open and many paths to walk together with your clients.
To build and maintain our coaching presence, Mete will first guide us to explore our own comfort about Sustainability. Practice coaching on the topic of “Making a Difference in the World” will follow. You will learn how to work with clients on:
— Identifying values around Sustainability
— Defining personal consumption patterns
— Designing career goals to lead a sustainable lifestyle
— Exhibiting the type of leadership at work that supports Sustainability
Through coaching each other, you will be honing your Core Competencies #3 Establishes and Maintains Agreements, #5 Maintains Presence, and #7 Evokes Awareness.
At our meeting, you will:
— Consider your role as coach in supporting clients’ desires to make a difference through Sustainability
— Reflect on your own comfort with the topic
— Learn practical applications of your coaching skills to support clients on the topic
— Coach each other with a focus on Core Competencies #3, #5, and #7
— Earn essential Continuing Coach Education units
