    • Discover Coaching Supervision: What It Is and How You and Your Clients Benefit

Presenters:Elizabeth Okada, EMCC Senior Practitioner and Certified Coach Supervisor

Are you aware of coaching supervision? Have you ever hired a coaching supervisor? No matter your answer, coaching supervision is a topic that belongs on your radar, if not top of mind.

Coaching supervision is widely established in the UK and Europe for practicing coaches. It is slowly becoming more common in the Americas and Asia Pacific. In usual times, supervision supports a coach’s professional growth. In these current difficult times, supervision is also profound support for coaches as members of a care-giving profession. And in both usual and unusual times, coaching supervision paves the way for a coach to bring an even better version of themself to coaching sessions—and thus further benefit their clients.

Elizabeth Okada, EMCC Senior Practitioner and Certified Coach Supervisor, will lead us on a journey of exploration and discovery of coaching supervision. In this interactive session, she will introduce the key aspects of coaching supervision and why it is increasingly a vital mainstay of the coaching profession in many parts of the coaching world.

You’re invited to join us to learn more about Super-VISION. We will explore:

      — What supervision is, its functions, and how it differs from mentor coaching
      — What coaches “bring” to supervision
      — How you and your clients benefit, and
      — Where to find a coaching supervisor and typical fees

There will be an opportunity to observe a “live” supervision session. The relevant ICF Core Competencies are #1 Meeting Ethical Guidelines and Professional Standards, #2 Establishing the Coaching Agreement, and #4 Coaching Presence.

      At our meeting, you will:

      — Have a chance to reflect on one of your recent coaching sessions
      — Observe supervision in action
      — Increase your awareness of why experienced and novice coaches benefit from regular supervision
      — Coach each other with a focus on Core Competencies #1, #2, and #4
      — Earn essential Continuing Coach Education units

The Coaching in English Group is open to any coach or would-be coach of any nationality who uses or wants to use English professionally in their coaching sessions. Activities will be conducted in English. Please join us to meet other coaches working in English, earn CCEUs, and build a supportive professional community with an international flavor.
