    • Coaching Across Cultures: Leveraging Cultural Diversity for Creativity, Unity and Purpose

      Presenters: Prof. Philippe Rosinski, MCC
Cultural differences of all kinds are often a source of misunderstandings and frustrations. In this webinar, Prof. Philippe Rosinski will show how coaches and leaders can improve their creativity and impact by treating cultural differences as a source of richness and as an opportunity to go beyond current cultural limitations. You will learn about a broad, inclusive and dynamic concept of culture that contrasts with the traditional static and binary view (which tends to perpetuate limiting stereotypes).

You will discover how the Cultural Orientations Framework (COF) assessment—a roadmap and assessment tool to navigate the cultural terrain—can bring your individual and team coaching to the next level.

The session will be interactive and experiential. You will have a chance to examine your individual and collective COF results, in short peer coaching sessions and group discussions.

In addition, you will learn how systematically integrating culture into coaching is essential for:

      1. Promoting inclusion in the greatest sense, giving people the sense that they can belong and thrive in their diversity, and
      2. Understanding and reconciling cultural dilemmas to effectively deal with the covid-19 pandemic.

This workshop focuses particularly on Core Competency #2 Embodies a Coaching Mindset and #7 Evokes Awareness. These are from the updated model of Core Competencies, set to come into effect in 2021 (see https://coachfederation.org/core-competencies).

      Takeaways:
      • Learn how to release higher creativity, achieve greater impact, as well as promote unity by making the most of alternative cultural perspectives
      • Discover how to go beyond current cultural norms, values, and beliefs (and stereotypes) when working with people
      • Acquire a vocabulary to describe salient cultural characteristics
      • Learn about the Cultural Orientations Framework (COF) assessment and how the tool can be used to promote individual, team and organizational development.

To make the most of our experience together, we invite you to complete the COF assessment following the instructions received upon registration.

About the Cultural Orientations Framework Assessment

The COF assessment is a tool for individual coaching, leadership development, intercultural training, team coaching and organizational cultural audits.

It goes hand in hand with an inclusive and dynamic vision of culture, beyond the traditional binary and static approaches, which often tend to reinforce stereotypes.

The COF assessment goes further than the sole national focus and allows users to examine the other cultural influencers that make up our identities (gender, profession, generation, etc.). It lets users view group cultural profiles in multiple, customizable ways (e.g., team, organization as well as profiles per categories/fields predefined by users, such as division, nationality, management level, merging entities, etc.) and allows them to add their own customized cultural dimensions to the 17 standard COF dimensions.

The COF assessment as well as the book Coaching Across Cultures are also available in Japanese.
